Sorry for any duplicate crossings since I don't know what happened on my work machine...anyway...
A correction to Ken Bradley's post which I somehow have lost. I was at work when I received the message and answered it right away but I think only to Ken not the whole list.

So I want to make it perfectly clear... there was no vote on Wednesday night. There was no such thing as a 4-4 vote.
Only the vote to postpone until May 19th which was a 7-1 vote.
I would also like to add that at one point, not long before the meeting, it was thought that there were 8 votes against and 1 for. When Mr. Bob (pass the buck) Fine changed his tune and jumped to the fence " because others will probably stop it" the vote went 7-2 if Marie Hauser would have been there. Now , of course, a couple of commissioners are holding their votes very close to their chest so one may not really know what they will do in the end. And despite eloquent remarks by two commissioners neither of them really came right out and said they were a NO vote.
It should be noted that there were 18 speakers Wednesday evening and of those 9 were for and 9 were against. At times the Board has also been tied in its count - almost every commissioner has gone back and forth on this issue during the past two months and obviously since last year.
As Yogi Berra said, "It's not over until it's over".
And if one gets to know the politics of the Minneapolis Park Board there is nothing truer said.

citywide Park Commissioner
