Sorry - been meaning to inform list members about this.... The server restricts posts to about 10 kb (in Unix measurements - it works out to about 25-30 kb per message on my PC). While it has the salutary effect of limiting prolixity, it's more to protect against 2 things: 1. People re-sending the digest when the post a message (it happens more often than you think - digest readers, PLEASE don't just hit reply if you send something to the list!) 2. It's another defense against viruses. Some viruses/worms will spoof a member's address, but they're almost always larger than 10 k so they almost always get stopped. So if you have a really long post - try to edit it down. Or, if you're providing an extensive public meeting report like Chris, break it into 2 parts. That does use up your 2 posts per day, but there's always tomorrow. David Brauer List manager REMINDERS: 1. Think a member has violated the rules?
