Children should not be having babies. Young girls need to learn that their bodies are their own, treat it with respect and not become a notch on someones belt. If the child has chosen to be active, get her on birth control. Gasp, you say!! Better to carry a pill than carry a baby. Educate Young men, get a girl pregnant...you have responsiblities. Pull the pants up, drop the cool slang, mandatory education and work program with some earnings going for the child. Learn and earn respect. Educate Babies, collective raising, Get them into programs when they are very young, teach them to read, grow flowers, color and draw. do not entertain them... their little minds need to be active and they need to know what love is so they can love back. Educate There are enough social programs out there to choke a horse. Trim them down to those that do the work...specialize those programs Get the money out into the communities because it is the communities that need to to all of this. Programs and police can not do it until the people in the communties come together and fight for their children, homes and neighborhoods. If a mother says Not my Johnnie...99.9% it was Johnnie. Respect the police and what they do, respect teachers and what they do. I have seen mothers shoplift many many times using their children as a front. Grownups using childrens social security numbers for cable tv. Children, who believe that a party means a "bar". What type of parenting is this? Where is this child going? To the streets... So now what do we do.....video cameras, take down license numbers, speak up..loud and clear, call the city inspector on cars not licensed and sitting around, buildings that are not clean and kept up, keep your area clean, keep your own kids active in volunteer work and school, plant gardens, meet with your community neighbors constantly to let the thugs know they are meeting with resistance....it's someone's mother and she is mad! Get motion lights, leave outside lights on, get night lights...and the city?...the police force needs to make a presence in whatever manner it takes to get rid of the gangs. They need to have the support of the community. Haul the thugs in...Judges need to sentence them and if there is 16 to a cell with 1-2 meals a day until the lake freezes over...so be it. If a mother wants to save her child or the neighbors child and that child is into drugs and gangs...tough love...call the MPD. What about surveilance cameras on some of the worst streets? Could the cameras be moved? Just my opinion...not looking for any feedback or flac...spend one whole day taking down license numbers a couple years back of every car that parked at a certain building. Cut the same grass four times that day...well worth the clippings.
