Greeting's List, It's time for work. It's time to roll up our sleeves and get real with each other. The neighbors are doing their thing and they are getting beat down for doing it. What is so wrong with pulling all the players at a table and rolling up the sleeves and getting busy. What would this look like:
Well a task force for one, and may I add they would have the power to design and implement. What would this task force look like? Well a dream team to those who are suffering: MPD City Attorney County Attorney, Federal Attorney, School Officials, Park Officials, Gang Task Force Chemical Rehabs Child Protection Housing Inspectors Minneapolis Youth Coordinating Board Library Church Leadership Neighborhood Clinics Citizen Participation Minneapolis Department of Public Health Hennepin County Medical Society North Memorial Hennepin County These folks need to find programs that are working in other parts of the country, (to which there are many) and research and implement a plan of action in our own town. We also need to stop putting money into programming that have no measurable results, it's only a waste of money. In order to address the violence, you "have" to address the other issues that are plaguing the community. You have to fight the whole pie not just bits and pieces. Our only security is our ability to change. - John Lilly Peace-Peace, Vanessa Freeman Hawthorne REMINDERS: 1. Think a member has violated the rules?
