If it is not the lack of a Masters degree, what makes Jon Gurban "not as qualified? I have reviewed the resumes of both candidates. I do not find the kind of differences that calls for Gurban to be described as "not as qualified."
Both candidates left standing have managed suburban park systems. Gurban has spent more time in Associations and Private Sector. Gears, the other candidate has more experience being a line staff person. The accusations against Gurban have inflamed the discussion of Park Superintendent. We need a reasonable interview process not a rhetorical discussion. I agree with Commissioners Young and Erwin. We should allow the interview process to continue.
