According to the city website, construction noise on the weekends is illegal without a noise permit.
Anybody know who approves/denies those permits, and if the city crews need them? (I'm guessing not) My husband and I were roused this AM (before 8) by a huge racket on the street right outside of our house. It was a city crew working the road. Now I'm not religious or anything but I do consider Sunday to be the day of REST... and couldn't believe anyone would authorize construction beginning before 8am in a residential neighborhood on Sunday!
