Excuse me, Dan. the City owns those boulevards with easements to the Park Board
who maintains all the trees in the Boulevards. There are both city and Park
Board ordinances that govern those boulevards and those ordinances say "no
signs".
And for the past 30 years there have been untold numerous debates about
Boulevard gardens which even has their own set of regulations ironed out with
the Committee on Urban Environment.

Sorry Dan...ask the St. Anthony Park folks about this misunderstanding - they
themselves have just found out this information also. We have found that many
realtors don't even know the rules and regulations regaring the boulevards and
don't tell homeowners that the city and parks are responsible for the area from
the sidewalk to the streets.

There have always been a few signs each election year and a realtor or two
sometime sneaks a sign up but this is the firt year it appears to be "out of
control" and everyone is doing it.

Not good.

citywide Park Commissioner
