Hi Martin, did you download benchmark test from http://www.sfml-dev.org/temp/bench-sdl-sfml.zip, it has source and binary for Windows, you can run it without compiling with gcc.
And you can analyze at text-dyamic.cpp, and certainly the result of SDL & SFML.
