Hi Daniel, Like I said, I don't know the solution. This is a problem still in progress.
There are MinGW builds of mspgcc on the soureforge site. Why not try those. They are packaged differently from the Cygwin builds, but they contain basically the same stuff. Note that the gdb in those is still built with Cygwin. If Cygwin doesn't play nicely on your machine, I guess you may still have some problems.
