Hi there Sorry about the unplanned reboot.
Something which you may wish to consider in future is always suppressing reboots as a default! While at first glance this seems like a dumber than dumb idea you'll find that Santos Martinez has a very good blog post about using Compliance and Settings to check systems for outstanding reboots. Using this you can build collections to either work with users / server owners to schedule reboots as required > On 18 Aug 2014, at 21:42, "Timothy Ransom" <[email protected]> wrote: > > Tried all but countdown persists. > > I was on with Microsoft support when countdown started and he said there is > no way to stop it, but I was hopeful for a workaround. > > Sent out emails and ready to take my lumps for unscheduled reboot. > > > From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] > On Behalf Of Taxter, Latisha > Sent: Monday, August 18, 2014 3:35 PM > To: [email protected] > Subject: RE: [mssms] cancel software updates restart > > Interesting.. good to know. > > From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] > On Behalf Of Daniel Ratliff > Sent: Monday, August 18, 2014 12:30 PM > To: [email protected] > Subject: RE: [mssms] cancel software updates restart > > Here you go. > > Daniel Ratliff > > From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] > On Behalf Of Daniel Ratliff > Sent: Monday, August 18, 2014 3:27 PM > To: [email protected] > Subject: RE: [mssms] cancel software updates restart > > Neither of these options work when the shutdown was initiated from ConfigMgr. > > There was a big thread on this list a few months back about it.
