The CX5MII also has a 16K sub ROM, so there are enough ROM sockets for the upgrade to MSX2 already. The 41416 DRAMs occupy CAS1 bank. Presumably they are mirrored four times. I've wondered about replacing them with 41464 DRAMs. Apparently the MSX2 standard allows for 64K VRAM machines, although most (all?) have 128K VRAM. To upgrade to 128K would require piggy-backing two more DRAMs on top of the first two, and connecting CAS0 from the VDP. According to the schematic it's not used. I can't see CASX anywhere.
