Sorry, if I wasn't clear. I didn't mean for you to speak English at all. I meant allowing her to respond in English if she wants at certain times. I say this because I saw my 2 little ones (now 6 and 4) go through the 2 year old stage too. When my daughter was in the preschool, I especially noticed that she would start answering me in Spanish (we live in Mexico). It alarmed me a little. What I did was to not send her to the preschool the for the following school year. That worked great, but I doubt it was necessary. With my son, I've seen that you can give it more time and it will still work out.

research I have read, they insist that one person needs to always
speak in one language (or if there are more than one language per
person, then a whole conversation should be in each language). We are
not teaching our daughter second and third languages, we are actually
teaching her her first languages (our native anguages).
As for the DVDs in our language, well we do that too.
I think I freaked out a little yesterday cause I had just come back
from the pediatrician and his words were alarming. He made me feel
like we're losing control of teaching her our native languages.
I think I am slightly feeling back on track today though.
