Hi, folks --

...and then Thomas Roessler said...
% Mutt-1.1.9 is out on ftp://ftp.mutt.org/pub/mutt/devel/,
% and the usual mirror sites, see
% http://www.mutt.org/download.html.

I pulled down 1.1.9i.tar.gz and extracted it on my dual-Celeron SuSE
6.1 Linux system and tried to run configure, but configure couldn't tell
my host type. I've not had this problem before.

I looked through config.guess for some host strings and don't really know
what to put for mine -- i686linux, maybe? I tried that and "Linux" and
configure then goes on to tell me that gcc doesn't work.

What am I missing? Maybe I'll back up to just 1.1 and see if *it* will
configure...

TIA!

:-D
