Ok. I notice that the Compose menu complains about "no such option"
"stal", so I guess that's a bug that needs to be fixed.
Additionally, it's probably best to make stal=1 the default. Whenever
TBird gets updated, it displays an update message in a new tab, and when
stal=0, it's not obvious how to get rid of that tab.
