Simon's just in time concept will do it but I think the logic needs
some redefining. I've got lots of samples now that fail now.

Yes that's correct.  Your sample is easy because the  video was always
ahead of the audio.   Simon's idea of no op will help.  I don't know a
pause for the ac3 audio stream.

They use their own dongle for their own app.

Right that was on your XM thread, not this one.  Of course even though
it rebroadcast in AC3, it doesn't change the source material.
