Any particular reason why you chose to use VLC? Isn't it layered on top of the same libraries used by some of the more traditional transcoding tools? I didn't run across much on the Avermedia AV180. One of the few hits was another of your postings: http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=18&p=127106 Is it an old or obscure card? Your posting was about problems you were having selecting specific audio streams from an MPEG-TS. Did you try other transcoding tools? > What I would really like to do is figure out how to create an automatic > transocding profile for this, so I can attach it to the card, and > auto-magically run it against anything captured by this card. I'm playing with an old analog card that has no MPEG encoder hardware. If I get it working with Myth, it'll need everything transcoded (as Myth doesn't have an MPEG2 software encoder), so I'll be looking into this and I can post a follow-up with the info on how it is done. -Tom ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
