If the config isn't reloaded then that would only be to renew the lease, I guess. Maybe it remembers where it got its lease before and can't find it anymore? I'm not a really a networking guy so I'm a bit unsure. I do think I tried to start the backend's DHCP server before starting up the MVP once and still got the crazy loop.
