Yeah, pretty much.  Software, not networking, is my thing.  That was one of
the more cumbersome aspects of getting mvpmc set up.  I was using the MVP
with GB-PVR but GB-PVR has it's own server built in to serve dongles.  I'm
don't know if it's doing a full DHCP server or just shoving a 'next-server'
bit out there and hoping the MVP will listen, but a user doesn't have to do
anything.

Okay, I'll try upping the lease today sometime.  Basically it's off (soft),
and the remote power button wakes it up, but then the startup tasks go
wonky.  I can't remember if the remote will still soft power it or not -
since I have to go yank the power cord so it starts up correctly I don't
know if I bothered to try.  I don't know if it is "hearing" any other
commands because at that point there's no UI that would react to keypresses
in such a way that I could tell.
