chuckdevee, Luciano, Lisa, Ron, Richard, ALL, Thank you for your suggestions! I have improved the manual ordering experience this way:
1) Manual ordering is now a separated checkbox in Sorting dialog. So you can check/uncheck it preserving current automatic sorting settings. 2) There is a command in To-Do popup menu to Toggle manual sorting with configurable hotkey (Ctrl+Alt+M by default) 3) If the view in manual sorting mode there is an icon in Task Caption column (I got star for now until my artist creates new icon for this) 4) If you start drag while in automatic sorting mode there is a warning that sorting will be switched to manual mode and your existing manual sorting will be reset 5) If you want to keep the current manual sorting while dragging tasks from automatic sorting you should do the following: a) in automatic sorting mode select several tasks you would like to reorder b) press Ctrl+Alt+M to switch to your current manual sorting. The selection will be preserved. c) drag & drop selection to the new location of your current manual sorting. Hope the majority is happier now while we still keep things simple in MLO :). See it in next beta (soon) and let me know your thoughts. Andrey.
