Indeed, I gave up with Outlook, and now use EssentialPIM, which have a
very powerful linking feature.
But it also has a big issue with recurring events exceptions that makes
me considering to change.
I'm gonna have a look at Thunderbird if it is possible to link to MLO.
ThunderLink is an add-on for Thunderbird. You can read about it and and
install it here:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/thunderlink/
It requires a bit of manual fiddling with the registry (if you're on
Windows) but if you follow the instructions it all works well.
If you paste a link into MLO, you've got to put "file:" (without the
quotes) in front of the pasted text for it to work.
