Do you mean the rapid task entry? They go by default into the inbox. From there, you can later move them to the corresponding folders/subfolders. But you can also directly select a parent folder with the button on the top right. Or you can use input parsing to move it to a folder.

And often, I just open MLO, select the tab of the area and then press the "Ins" key to add a task to a specific area.
