Oh, no, you're not irritating. Sorry on my part for being annoying. I'm
starting to think maybe I somehow screwed up my installation...again.

I just tried to test it. I've been using MyPaint all morning, and ran my
updater script just a few moments ago before filing that other bug report. The
updater script didn't find any updates, but it did rerun SCONS and reinstall
MyPaint from my cloned GIT repo.
Now, I can't reproduce the bug. Apparently, reinstalling, even without any
changes or updates, fixed the problem. I'm going to reinstall again to see if
it will fix the alpha-lock bug too.
I've attached the screenshot you wanted. I took it yesterday.
Though, I don't think it'll do you any good now.
If the bug resurfaces, I'll let you know.
