Follow-up Comment #6, bug #18460 (project mypaint):
Ben: sounds like a separate Windows installer issue, so that bit should
probably be a separate bug; Edgar's report is very much a POSIX thing.
Looking at the build.bat in TumaGonx's installer, it just runs scons in
"local testing build" mode rather than "install mode". Surprised it's not
calling "scons prefix=..win32 install" then doing its py2exe dance in there:
all those xcopy invocations look fragile, since we're likely to be adding more
resources...
(We support "scons prefix=FOO --install-sandbox" too: I checked and the
Debian guys use it too, but there's no real cause for it /at the moment/ since
we don't burn paths into anything right now. That may change of course.)
