Follow-up Comment #14, bug #18293 (project mypaint):

I just tried it and I like it. No unexpected snapping creating a 'dead zone'
for placement, window manager gets to do its job, and it doesn't waste much
space. In fact, I gain extra space, because I force-disable their titlebars
with Kwin, which looks good with the small snap button.

A question, though: are the toolboxes supposed to be set to no-focus? Only
the main window accepts focus, so shortcuts like alt-F3 to bring up the window
context menu (move, resize, minimise, shade, etc.) don't work on them. Is
there a benefit to them not accepting focus, or was it just a missed setting?

One problem it may have is the snap-in button could possibly be too small for
touch users, but I lack a touch-sensitive display, so I can't test it myself.
I don't know how common touch-using mypaint users are, either, but it seemed
worth noting.
