Hi
Whats a ' gewgaws ' ??

Re this:
"We have to try as an industry to get ahead of this and give the
audience an attractive model before the illegal file-sharer providers
meet their needs," said David F. Poltrack, CBS Television's executive
vice president for research and planning"

They seem to be getting the message and TV isn't quite like file
sharing.

I've never been interested in downloading films as you can get the Dvd's
really cheap for rent, sent to your home by Amazon and dvdsonline.

As regards taping/copying to watch TV in my time, Perfect!

This is fair use, you pay the licence (in the UK) you buy the TV, You
don't spend Â900.00 on win media centre, as you don't need to. It seems
to me now that you record with a VCR and Copy with MythTV!
Whats the difference? apart from the terminology (copying is bad, file
sharing, hacking,)

Doesn't sound the same in the press when you say "Hey! these MythTV
guy's are recording our programs!!"

Cheers
Bob
