The RTJpeg uses signifcantly less CPU in my experience than mpeg4 at the
cost of much greater file size at a given quality level.  Experiment
with it a bit. I've found that on my P4 1.6GHz playback of mpeg4 while
recording can get a bit choppy (ie "live tv").  One thing of note, I'm
still running .16 and it also sometimes crashes the frontend with this
setup. RTJpeg uses less CPU, does not get choppy and does not crash (but
blows through my disk alot faster...)
