I'm using an nVidia 6600GT with no more issues than anyone else on this list.  
It's all workable as far as I'm concerned.   With the pcHDTV HD-3000 tuner 
card it appears I'm getting the onboard MPEG encoder.  with XvMC the motion 
is great but there seem to be stability issues.  I've reverted to Xv and it's 
still better than the Motorola HD tuner I had before Myth.
