Hello,
So I love this concept and would like to start incorporating this into my
salon. I'm sitting here trying to do the math we charge $34.00 for basic
pedicure
1 hour, senior tech and $30.00 for other girls---- What would I charge for a
mini pedicure for 30min.
Please help

value!!!!!Shannon my friend.........It is happening to me also.Stick to your
guns...I promise Christmas should pull us out for a few fast and furious
weeks.More importantly, when we get those peeps that are new...we need to think
of clever ways to keep them after the holidays. Recently I came across a person
who came in on a GC. She made it clear that she could not afford me. So I sold
her on my mini pedi which is $25 They choose callus wk or cuticle detail( but
not both)a nice slat glow and polish all for 30 mins yeh.So I explained it to
her str8-"""" I would rather cultivate your business over the long run then
loose you now. So I offered her my mini pedi at $25 and I said I would do as
much as I could in 30 mins. (All light wk really.)She went for it and I have
seen her 3 times at almost 3 wk intervals. Then she bought a GC for a mini pedi
for a friend! HEELLLLLOOOOOOOAm I cutting myself short? NO! I have been
pushing my mini pedis because at $25 each...it makes more sense to do 2 an hr
for $50 than one at $45 riiiight! I talk them up and explain " I'll do whatever
is the most important to you in a pedicure! I will say this over and over
peeps-It is about perceived value! If they think they are getting more for less
than it is a good deal.Once they are hooked on this idea....lock um
in........"as much as you can do for $25" by pre selling them a package. Make
sure you explain that ,come spring they won't be able to get all that wk for so
cheap :)They will bite ..especially if they think they can't have it anymore.
It is called the "Take Away".Do you have education certificates hanging on your
wall? Act like you do and believe in your services and the value you bring to
your clients!!!!! This is not the time to cut yourself short.ok off my box now
lolPeace to your day.

Yeah that is probably the reason, I am going to have to look at how I promote
things. And NOT give it away all the time. I may do an add on once in a while
for free, to show them, and they just don't seem to book it. Maybe I have to
put a sign up and have it in their face. I'll try again, see what I can do,
anything extra with this economy is a big help. I have suddenly slowed way
down the past two weeks. I know its probably the pedicures have slowed down,
but I am having so many people change appts. or no shows. at the last minute,
its killing me.

Shannon,

Maybe it's the way you are presenting the service.,

I tell my clients --- client, I am noticeing how dry your hands are. I would
love to give you a spa manicure or a parrafin dip. the exfoliation would make
your hands feel so much better and the extra moisture would norish your nails.
Sometimes, I even exfoliate one hand for them so they can see. Put some of the
products in sight and when they ask :what is this: you can explain. Be excited
about the service. Promote it.

I have a CND spa manicure duo. Nice stuff, if only I could actually have
someone want one, I can't even get people to do paraffin. I only have one
girl once in a while do paraffin. And I live in a cold climate where hands dry
out so bad they get really chapped. And still they just get regular mani's.

I am wanting to start doing a spa manicure. I have always just done a basic
one. Our salesperson suggested either OPI or CND. Has anyone used these? The
almond from CND sounds like it would smell great. How much more money do you
think you should add on to the original manicure? Thanks for any suggestions.
