When I worked in the salon, on my menu, I offered artificial enhancements for
one price. It was up to me to decide what I thought would work on a client,
whether it be gels, silk wraps, or acrylics. Most of the time the client think
she wants silk wraps, but what they do in every day life will not be conducive
to that type of enhancement.
In basically the same way and a stylist would not let the client tell her what
brand or type of color or perm she wanted on her hair, I want to do the best
service for the client and do what will be the easiest for the client to
maintain depending on her lifestyle and condition her nails are.

Since I have been in the schools teaching, the same goes with our menu here..
The student along with their instructor do a consultation with the client and
decide what type of enhancement is best for the client. I also want the
students to learn that there is more to just a manicure or a pedicure, it is
actually skin care, so we approach natural nail services in a different way as
well. Hopefully, this will set them apart from the other salons out there.

Have been following this thread…and have been a bit troubled.

IN my humble opinion….a nail enhancement is a nail enhancement,.,,is a nail
enhancement. For me, how you get it off doesn’t define whether it’s “natural
nails” or “artificial nails.”

I personally have a lil bit of a problem with marketing that is misleading.
There was a campaign in recent years in national print media about “manicures
that last three weeks”….but it was really for traditional liquid and powder
enhancements. Unrealistic expectations and “spin” don’t make for loyal
clientele…for me, at least,
