Ya know, I just thought of this. Maybe if the lady that owns the purse got some NEETSFOOT oil and rubbed it in it would blend in the stain for the oil in the paraffin. Neetsfoot conditions leather and it might work.

Sheila, The BEST thing to remove any was is to first gently take off the hardened wax. Next take a paper towel and fold it in half. Put a hot iron and "iron blot" the wax stain. Keep moving the paper towel and make sure to not iron over the already used part of the paper towel. I used this method with paraffin wax on a sweater, candle wax and also depilatory wax. It is the ONLY trick that works!
