No, my gel people can have Shellac if they want it, but the natural nail people
can only have Shellac. When a natural nail client sits down I give them the
Shellac color sample display and push the rest out of sight, when a gel client
sits down I put all the colors out.

Katherine,
So you are keeping your Shellac, not an option from your hard gel clients?
Saving Shellac only for natural nail clients?

Subject: Re: NailTech:: what r u calling this/gel polish

I hear you. I was always told NEVER, NEVER, NEVER give away new services! I did
one "free, try me" for each client. I now have 4 clients who ware regular
polish, all the rest are waring color gel or Shellac. So..... Never say never
;-)

So for your question, how am I marketing the different brands of products. For
me, the only soak off that soaks off fast enough for me to call a natural nail
service is Shellac. So I advertise "Shellac Manicure" for the natural nail
clients with the Shellac colors on a separate color sample display and the hard
gel clients have a different display and it is advertised as "color gel"
rather it is soak off or not and I file it off every time.

IMHO Eco is the only other soak off that soaks off fast enough for me to call a
natural nail manicure, so if I ever decide to get it, I'll advertise it as an
"Eco Manicure" with it's own display, so then I will have the "Shellac
Manicure" and the "Eco Manicure" each with their own display, but charged the
same price. I do not distinguish between the different brands for the hard gel
clients that I am going to file off. Some of my clients prefer one brand over
another so they will ask me what brand is this color, but I do not advertise
them separately.

okay, how r you battling this new service of gel polish? We have gel polish.
one which is a cross of polish and gel. then we have gel that is colored but
is a gel. we have soak off, we have file off.

So far I have only one client that is soak off, will not allow me to file, have
her on Shellac.

The rest of my clients, which totally SURPRISED ME, that have the soft gel or
ac on, are the ones that are falling in love with gel polish. I have been given
the free gel polish application to these long standing clients, to #1 to teach
myself on time issues, and #2 to SPOIL them. And will start charging them an
extra 5 bucks starting next week. I know some of you are saying, why would you
give them away free to your clients? Well so worth the cost, consider it
advertising cost. I didn't have to explain to them the advantages and try to
talk them into it. Just show them!!!!!!90% of them said they would go for it
because of the convenience of the no drying issue!!!!!!!!

I have so many colors and will get more. But some will be soak off in 10
minutes, some will be soak off in 20 minutes, and some will be filed off.

For all of you that are carrying both, what are you saying, or advertising the
diff.? Want to start advertising this,to NEW POTENTIAL customers, but don't
know exactly what to call it. Because so many different service options. On
top of their natural nails, on top of their existing ac or gel. Can't really
say soak off, because all aren't all soak off. Any suggestions? diana from
