Katherine,

LOL>> you are a hoot. I love your real feelings on the subject. There was
someone where I used to work that complained constantly about acrylic smell and
one day being a smart @%$ I just looked up never missed a stroke and said "
smells like money to me". That was a few years ago and I now tell anyone that
says my products stink the same thing.
Like you said can't fix stupid.

This is tricky. I do not have much tolerance for stupid, so I would not address

her directly. Print out articles about pregnancy and the beauty industry and

give them to the owner/manager and let her handle it. Inform the owner/manager

that "dirty looks" from a coworker are not acceptable. This is a team issue and

needs to be addressed by management to keep the salon running smoothly.

That was my diplomatic answer, now what I really think is that you can't fix

stupid and she's a ditz who doesn't like the smell of your acrylic and is just

trying to use this as an excuse to make you stop using it. Typical self
centered

immaturity. It's all about her and what she doesn't like. She doesn't care how

you keep a roof over your head or food on your table and never mind that her

color and perms smell bad, that doesn't bother her because it's money in her

pocket, all she cares about is that SHE doesn't like the smell of your acrylic.

Grrrr... Do not get me started, oops, too late, I already erupted.

What I would really want to say to her is, "bite me." but what I would actually

do is let management handle it.

younger, but she's a little "young minded", to be diplomatic. She's kind of a

flippy little thing, lol. She has it in her head that I can't do nails anymore

because she's pregnant. Now I explained to the manager that if go by her logic

(that nails smell) then she can no longer do perms or colours and may as well

just quit.

lol. The manager came to me quietly to ask about it. Nice kid, but if she's

going to be a parent then she needs to grow up:P

hairstylists. Up to their elbows in perms and colours, and perfectly normal

children.
