Hi all. I'm new in this group... and animated by Mike (yellow74ghia) to post here something about the Burroughs DC106-A counting unit.
http://kahlo.redirectme.net/~kahlo/misc/r1.jpg I had this unit for a long time, complete, but not working, because of missing information. 20 contacts... But finally, I have got enough hints from Mike to get it back to life! Here you can see the first glow (temporarily driven by a Glowlamp-sawtooth-generator): http://kahlo.redirectme.net/~kahlo/misc/DC-106A_01.jpg The final circuit is old-style tube stuff: Transformer 250V-0V-250V; EZ80 rectifier, and an astable multivibrator using the ECC82. Maybe a little bit oversized... But it will serve a second module (hopefully in the near future). http://kahlo.redirectme.net/~kahlo/misc/DC-106A_03.jpg Maybe this is the last counting Beam-X tube ;-). If there are more units outside, waiting for reanimation, I will post more details. Regards, René. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "neonixie-l" group.
