Well should I be flattered or pissed off, what do you think?
Over the years I have sold a few Otis Elevator Touch switch neon filled
2040 Thyratrons. The last one I sold was on Nov 28-2010.
Title of auction was: Nixie Era Otis Elevator Ne Touch Switch 2040
Thyratron2 Auction 280592584705 or easier to remember(but take out
the spaces when typing in on E-bay) 280 592 584 706.
Well I got a surprise yesterday! There is a listing for Nixie Era Otis
Elevator Ne Touch Switch 2040 Thyratron2 Auction 110 642 996 087
(remove the spaces when entering number.)
I had a 2 after thyratron in my title because I had listed 2 of these
tubes at one time and this was the second one listed. I forgot to remove
the 2 when relisting. The darkened picture of the lit up tube is a copy
of my picture right down to the light flare from the camera lens around
the tip of the tube.
For the listing description he used most of mine including the bold
underline and different colors! I am flatteed that he included my
grammatical mistakes as well! He will even send the 7 pages of data I
have? I have more now due to the generousity of my friends on this
list!!
Well in any case I think I am going to report this to E-bay. What do you
think. At the very least contact this seller and tell him the teacher
found out that his science report was copied from the encyclopedia.(boy I
dated myself there!) This reminds me of a story my dad told me (he was a
biology professor PhD) On of his friends had a paper turned in for a class
and when the professor read it, it was some of his own work copied
verbatum with the students name attached! GOTCH YA!
