That 2040 looks a lot like a 1C21, though the 1C21 usually has the glass painted black. I wonder what the electrical differences are between the two. I know the 2040 was used in elevator 'touch switches', but I wonder if a 1C21 would work in the same circuit ? Maybe the trigger cathode distance is different, changing both the trigger voltage and input capacitance specs. Though, in opposite directions. Wonder which is preferred in touch switch applications ? Maybe the gas mix is a little different. Maybe the max current on the 2040 is lower, sacrificing capacity for sensitivity ? A lot of maybes ! When your done dealing with that plagiarizing bozo, maybe you could throw a datasheet my way. Or maybe I could send you a 1C21, and you could check them out, side by side, if you got the time.
