It is always a fine line. I have seen Groups degrade into a flea market listing with no real content. On the other hand, a known source having a new item, or deciding to clear out some treasures is genuine good news to the group.
In my mind - sending a message every day with a latest offer.... Too Commercial. Sending a message with a unique new item say more than a month later than the last time, probably OK as News. Unearthing the long forgotten Buroughs 15 segment Nixie Mother-load - Hot news.
