So far I've not had a problem with eBay or Paypal but then I think I
have been following their rules when both buying and selling.
I tried to open an account to buy through Alibaba house of horrors and
they asked for a photograph of my passport, proof of my home address and
a photo of the credit card I was going to use. I just deleted the email
and all those that followed asking me to pay for the goods in my basket.
Eventually they stopped and I've not tried again.

BTW, eBay is holding about $7.00 from a sale I made a couple of months
ago, and they won't release it until they have my bank info. I think
I'll let it ride, and see how they handle it.
