Hi Jack,
Is your console the totally "hard wired" version? First off, all Series
1s are NOT like this, many are truly modular. I've not had the pleasure of
working on one like yours, and can't imagine how it would be done. I have a
pile of modules cut out of an S3 that were all connected by dozens of
"buss" wires between each one. I had NO idea how one would go about working
on one of these consoles. So, I'm in awe of you for even attempting this
and would be very interested in looking at the photos of the job.
