Hi Matt,
That could be done, too. This card can actually be configured as a
balanced OUTPUT as well. So in your case, you would need four cards and
a mother board (which will take up to four cards). Two of the cards
would be the balanced send and the other two would be the balanced
return. All of this could be spliced into the wiring for the master
fader. I think the Series fader plates are bigger than the Elite/Elan
ones that I have, so you would have to send me the plate (or drill the
holes yourself, I'm planning on having some little mylar drilling
templates made up, too).
Best,
Ike

Hi Ike, how would this work with a series 1E? It doens't have insert
points on the master.

Hi All,
I will be ordering some circuit boards that I designed in
co-operation with Mr. Neil Muncy (AES Life member etc., his
circuit, my parts selection and implementation, board layout by
another colleague of mine). These boards will, among other things,
provide a very nice active balanced input which can be used to
balance your master fader insert return on your Neotek. The
board(s) fit on a small mother board that is designed to bolt to a
blank fader plate, so they can be fitted right beside the master
fader.
Is anyone interested in doing this? I should be able to put this
together in a kit form that most folks should be able to retrofit
into their console without too much trouble. The kits would
consist of: 2 x assembled and pre-tested balancing boards, 1 x
motherboard mounted on a fader plate, and the power supply wiring
for the board (the fader wiring already exists in the console).
Let me know if you are interested as quantity ordered should
influence final pricing. I am hoping to be able to sell the above
in the $200.00 range.
Best,
Ike
