Hey-o Don't use Deoxit on any pots, just connections and switches. Most Elites have a DC servo for the mic preamp, which doesn't need adjusting. Regardless, that won't effect on the pot since there is always going to be DC on the pot. That is just the way that circuit is laid out. Sorry I can't be more of help. Just don't spray deoxit in there, or you'll have some real problems down the road. When cleaning pots and faders, I check with the manufacturer to see what they suggest. I don't know who's pots are in yours, but you could call Martinsound, or Sytek and get a solid suggestion. I have had to replace ours, once and a while, and let me say... it sucks to do.
