When you say the nessus server does nothing, do you mean you're using something like strace or truss and the client connection is never made? Or do you instead mean that the client *appears* to do nothing? Does anything appear in the Nessus logs (nessusd.messages or nessusd.dump)? Also, how are you specifying the targets? If by hostname, can they be resolved from the nessusd host itself?
