Hello,

I am able to bring up the NessusClient GUI in my Linux machine.
But when I was trying to connect it with the NessusServer which was one of
the step in starting the scan through GUI , I got an error message as
mentioned below,

*ERROR:*
*"Remote host is not using the good version of the Nessus communication
protocol (1.2) or its tcpwrapped"*

Kindly let me know how should I approach this problem.

Thanks,
Girish

to install it, it's rpm -ivh <fll in the name of the rpm here>

very likely if you go to the directory where you downloaded the Nessus
Client rpm and type

rpm -ivh NessusClient*

you will get it installed. This makes the assumption that you have the
right package for your system (rpm is only on redhat and fedora core).

I wanted to know exactly the below details,

no, you need to have the client rpm installed. Please see the instructions
above

If so how and what are the commands/steps to start the Nessus GUI?

once you have it installed, it's "NessusClient" or
"/usr/X11R6/bin/NessusClient"

 2. If the GTK client RPM is also needed along with the Nessus server RPM

"/usr/X11R6/bin/NessusClient"
