Hi James,

I'm glad you've reposted this message, originally sent to the
Netbehaviour list a little while back...

Yes, it is mind-numbingly tedious & quite depressing, when witnessing
the more privileged & top-down orientated initiatives out there, get
most of the support (as usual) whilst others, get pushed aside.

Folly as you say, were an excellent digital arts group. Why they were
not as vocal as some others were regarding the funding cuts, I am not
really sure - perhaps they felt it was a hopeless venture- that it all
just felt so inevitable. I do know they were quite busy at the time and
were also very keen in getting everything sured up, in respect of the
people in the group looked after before it's closure.

Recently we have been working with the Folly team in setting up an
archive of the Folly site on the Furtherfield server, which will be
announced soon. Already some projects by Folly are now accessible, such
as the 'The Digital Artists Handbook'
http://www.digitalartistshandbook.org/ - on the Furtherfield server...

wishing you well.
