Yep! That's right. It actually makes connecting a Hypercom problematic. You
have to remove or bend pins 23 & 24 out of the way so you can plug it in.

I may, at some time, buy another 2nd hand A1200 as a spare. If it turns out to
be a 1D4 or a 2B, does anyone know what exactly what the modifications are. I'm
quite handy with a solering iron, and it would save me a few quid.

Oh I don't know! Considering it's never been used, as such, probably not much
less than cost price. :-)
Anyway, I'll probably get another A1200 to use it with. Hopefully a rev 1D1.
Trouble is, how many people who are selling in the classifieds, know what
revision they have? Not many, I wouldn't imagine.
Selling up is a last resort.
