Snipped the whole thing as it was getting long:P

However a further point is that if there is no NC2 release of the Y2K
MDII fix it is likely that ppl will pirate the fixed version (keyfile
and all) and while they are at it they'll pirate the rest of NC3
(keyfile and all.......)

It's in Active, Vapor and Oli's interests to fix NC2 for just such a
reason (amongst many).
