NO !!!
Olli has been working on the current programs and that is his focus.
If you have a problem that isn't getting solved then it would be prudent to
cc/bcc or whatever to him (and to any other author for that matter).
It had been obvious that Chris/Active have had major problems since September
as far as responses (the lack therof) are concerned.
Failing to get a response from them should have alerted you to move up the
chain which is vapor (because they write the software) and during this whole
thread, I have seen nothing to indicate that this was ever done.
Olli doesn't have to be a member of the list to post to it. As an
administrator, he can post without being subscribed. You are assuming he
is/maybe because he used to post.
All it takes is someone to copy a mail to him from the list (cc/bcc) and if he
responds without changing anything, it may seem that he is on the list when
he is not.
As for phoning him up..who ever said that ? Never heard of e-mail ;-)
This really is unbelievable and sad.
A further NOTE.
1:18 minutes after I posted and copied Olli, he responded privately to me
thanking me for bringing it to his attention.
2:00 hours after my post, he has released a MD-2 1.4.4 update.
