Unfortunately quite a lot of people send in HTML format. The beauty of
email is its simplicity - if you want formatting use *this* or _this_
or /this/ etc. Anything more complex makes the message longer and thus
takes longer to send and receive - which for email is a bad thing.
The primary point of email is fast accurate data transmission and HTML
serves to detract from this.
However for web browsing and manuals HTML (or PDF) makes perfect
sense for obvious reasons and as a result it is sometimes necessary to
send whole HTML files (eg: when sending a preview version of a website
- minus graphics for someone's opinion).
If you must view the doc "as intended" then save out the part(s) of
the message in Microdot 2 and give them .html suffixes to remind you
what they are. Then load your web browser and load the local file you
just saved out. More hastle that it's worth though.
