This *isn't* Genesis. It's your modem's "dialling lock". First check
that your modem is set to the right country (you might need a Windoze PC
to set this). If it still does it then check http://www.wahlsperre.de/
for the secret command which will stop it happening.
In my modem's manual (SupraExpress 56e PRO) it says that the New Zealand
licensing laws say you can only dial a number 15 times in any 30 minutes,
with a minimum 30 second delay. However, it still does it even though
mine's set to UK. So maybe BABT have a similar rule, but it's bloody
stupid if so. (The principle is presumably to protect telephone networks
against abuse but if you've got a heavily loaded ISP there isn't much
choice really).
