My modem will try 15 times before it blacklists a number. I have found
this out since I subscribed to RedHot Ant. It gives you something to
do while waiting to connect :^( Just switch off and on again. I abort
the dial attempt first but it may work the other way round.
My record (I mainly try in the evenings - through the day is much
better) is 70 (Yes *seventy*) attempts. At least it is a free number
;^)
