What I frequently do is, when confronted with a text area in NetSurf, is to type the text into StrongED, where I can spell-check it (necessary for me!), save it and then drag the file into the text area. I now realise that this is different from what was originally written about, which is the use of Control-C and Control-V for doing something similar. I've never tried that.
